Repair of fire damaged Marrero home results in breach of contract lawsuit

GRETNA – A contracting company is suing a pair of Marrero homeowners claiming they did not pay for remediation work following a fire.

Claims Consulting and Contracting LLC filed suit against Eugene Pizani and Tammy Pizani in the 24th Judicial District Court on May 1.

Claims Consulting and Contracting says it provided $5,249.04 in repair work to the Pizanis for fire damage that occurred to their home at 3844 Jamie Lynn Drive in Marrero. The plaintiff asserts that despite making demands the defendants have failed to fully pay for the work completed on the property.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract.

Damages in the amount of $5,249.04 plus attorney’s fees is sought by the plaintiff.

Claims Consulting and Contracting is represented by Joseph “Joey” F. LaHatte III of the Metairie-based LaHatte Law Firm LLC.

The case has been assigned to Division C Judge June Berry Darensburg.
