A suit filed April 12 in Orleans Parish District Court alleges that a Loews New Orleans Hotel Corp. employee was the victim of ongoing sexual harassment, sexual advances, sexual abuse, mental abuse and physical attacks.
Filed on behalf of Julius Miller by New Orleans attorney Jason Williams, the suit states that, while under employment as a valet with Loews New Orleans Hotel Corp. from June 2008 until May 2009, Miller was allegedly sexually harassed multiple times by his supervisor, Kevin Fascio.
The suit accuses Fascio of "repeatedly making sexual advances," "repeatedly stating his subscription to a homosexual dating website," "leaving sex toys on the seat of his car when he knew plaintiff would be parking his car," and other allegedly inappropriate acts.
According to the suit, Miller informed Loews upper level management about the incidents but they took no action, the suit claims.
Co-defendants include Edward Johnson, valet supervisor; Will Gordon, head bellman; and Mike Threeton, head of security.
Miller claims that all defendants are liable for the ongoing sexual harassment and that Loews is "liable for the acts of its employees under the theories of vicarious liability and Respondeat Superior."
