Woman sues Paradise over fall in parking lot

Landrieu

A St. Bernard Parish woman is suing the Paradise Casino in New Orleans after she fell "without warning ... into a large hole present on the parking lot of the casino's premise."

New Orleans attorney David Bernberg filed the suit on behalf of Theresa Harvey, who says she fell just after midnight back in July 2010.

The suit alleges that Paradise Casino was negligent in "failing to insure that the parking lot and premises was fit for its intended use" and failing to "warn petitioner of the hazardous condition," among other allegations.

Harvey sustained serious and debilitating injuries, included but not limited to her spine which was required surgery, the suit states.

Orleans Parish Judge Madeleine Landrieu was assigned this case.
