Nuclear plant security supervisors sue Entergy over unpaid overtime wages

Hourly employees who provide security services at the nuclear plant facility in Kilona have filed a lawsuit against Entergy in an attempt to obtain compensation for unpaid overtime wages.

Stephen Allen Jr., Ernest Brown Sr., Felicia Connor, Nathan Hills III, Cynthia Johnson, James Kelly, Wayne Lacy, Steven Looney, Douglas Luke Jr., Rolando Martinez, Billy Mooring Jr., Jonathan Perry, Charles Ryan, Tharon Simon, Cynthia Robinson Singleton, Anthony Smith, Michal Stubbs, Douglas Valotta, Lee Vicks and Picola Williams filed suit in federal court in New Orleans.

The suit accuses Entergy of willfully violating the Fair Labor Standards Act and of having a history of violations of the overtime compensation requirements of the FLSA.

The employees are asking the court to prevent the defendants from further violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act and for an award of compensatory damages, liquidated damages, attorney's fees, costs and back pay.

The plaintiffs are represented by R. Glenn Cater and Amanda C. Graeber of Cater & Associates in New Orleans and Chris Edwards in Gretna.

U.S. District Judge Sarah S. Vance is assigned to the case.
