Loyola University sues former student for alleged unpaid debt

NEW ORLEANS - A New Orleans university is suing a former student alleging she owes a large sum of money.

Loyola University New Orleans filed a lawsuit against Pearla B. Mutombo-Watumba in the Orleans Parish Central District court on Aug. 2. The plaintiff claims that in spite of amicable request, the defendant has failed to render the remaining sum of her debt owed to plaintiff.

The defendant is accused of unpaid debt to the petitioner in the amount of $34,345.

The plaintiff is seeking judgment in its favor requiring the defendant to pay the full amount of $34,345 with interest as well as attorney fees and all cost deemed reasonable.

The case has been assigned to DivisionA Judge Tiffany G. Chase.
