Subcontractor suing M. Slayton Construction and The Family Hope Center

NEW ORLEANS – A New Orleans  iron works company is suing a Metairie construction company and a local family center for alleged breach of contract and non-payment.

Boes Iron Works, Inc. filed a lawsuit against M. Slayton Construction, Inc. and The Family Hope Center in the Orleans Parish Central District Court on Nov. 2. The plaintiff claims the defendants are indebted to in the sum of $162,535.50 for work performed under the subcontract.

The defendants are accused of breach of contract, failure to promptly pay and alleged non-payment.

The plaintiff is seeking full compensation for all labor rendered in the amount of $162,535.50 plus interest.

H. Minor Pipes III of Barrasso Usdin Kupperman Freeman & Sarver, LLC is the attorney for the plaintiff.

This case has been assigned to Division C. Judge Sidney H. Cates IV.

Case no. 2012-10355.
