Loyola university new orleans 3

NEW ORLEANS – A former employee of Loyola University claims he was wrongfully terminated and also denied the opportunity to contest charges brought against him.

Michael Indest Jr. filed a lawsuit against Loyola University New Orleans in the Orleans Parish Central District Court on Dec. 12. Indest claims that after he reported misappropriation of funding and illegal activities within the plaintiff’s development department he was illegally terminated without cause. He further asserts that by the plaintiff failing to give him notice or an opportunity to defend himself against the charges, his due process rights were violated.

The defendant is accused of violating contractual rights and wrongful termination.

The plaintiff is seeking compensation exceeding $50,000.00 and entitlement to a trial by jury.

Indest is represented by attorney Donald Carl Hodge Jr. of Baton Rouge.

This case has been assigned to Division L Judge Kern A. Reese.

Case no. 2012-11585.
