Woman sues Harrah's after breaking tooth at restaurant

NEW ORLEANS – A St. Bernard Parish woman is suing Harrah’s after an incident in its restaurant.

Susan Schwab filed suit against Jazz Casino Company LLC and their insurer in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Nov. 16.

On Nov. 29, 2011 Schwab was dining at a restaurant inside the casino. She claims that while eating a salad she bit a foreign object and broke her tooth. Immediately after the injury she informed management and lodged a formal complaint.

The plaintiff is seeking the cost of the suit and damages not exceeding $50,000 as compensation for severe and painful personal injuries including a broken tooth.

The case has been assigned to Division H Judge Michael G. Bagneris.

Schwab is represented by Cullen A. Tonry of the Tonry Law Firm.
