NEW ORLEANS – An New Orleans couple is being sued by home elevation contractors claiming to have not received full payment for services performed on the couple’s residential property.
The Cumberland Investment Group LLC filed a lawsuit against Kennedy Robertson and Angela Robertson in the Orleans Parish Central District Court on Jan. 11.
The petitioner claims that after fully and satisfactory completing all tasks, work and services called for under contract, the defendants have failed to render the remaining $46,418 owed for elevation work done on their Orleans Parish property.
The defendant is accused of breach of contract.
The plaintiff is seeking the sum allegedly owed as well as reasonable attorney's fees, filing costs and legal interest.
Cumberland is represented by Donald E. McKay Jr. of New Orleans-based Leake & Anderson.
This case has been assigned to Division C Judge Sidney H. Cates IV.
