Man who tripped over curb in gas station parking lot sues

NEW ORLEANS – A New Orleans man is suing a local gas station for injuries he allegedly sustained on its premises.

Kevin Perkins filed a lawsuit against LKM Enterprises LLC, Magnolia Discount and Montpelier US Insurance Company in the Orleans Parish Central District Court. Perkins claims that while attempting to cross the parking lot of the defendant’s establishment, suddenly and without warning, his foot was caught on a sharp portion of the curve causing him to be spun around and thrown to the ground causing injury.

The defendant is accused of failing to provide a safe environment for patrons, failingto warn of unsafe conditions, failing to properly maintain the premises and all other acts of negligence.

An unspecified amount is sought for medical expenses, physical and mental pain and suffering and residual disability.
