NEW ORLEANS – An owner of a local rental property complex is being sued for alleged non-payment following a contractor’s completion of work on two Banks Street apartments.
Rene Pagan filed a lawsuit against Morris Kirschman & Co. LLC in the Orleans Parish Central District Court on Feb. 19. Pagan claims that after completing all construction, renovation and repair services to apartments owned by defendant payment has not been submitted for the completion of services.
The defendant is accused on breach of contract and non-payment.
The plaintiff is seeking a sum of $2,700 for the work completed and the costs and fees incurred in the preparation and filing of a lien on the two apartments worked on.
Robert C. Lehman of St. Tammany Parish-based Robert C. Lehman APLC is counsel for Pagan.
This case has been assigned to Division M Judge Paulette R. Irons.
