BATON ROUGE – A Baton Rouge man who received spinal cord stimulator treatment for pain management is suing the company who provided the treatment for allegedly causing severe injuries.
Edward Dyson filed a lawsuit against Comprehensive Pain Management LLC and its insurer in the 19th Judicial District Court on Feb. 28.
Dyson claims that while the defendant was making failed attempts to reprogram his spinal cord stimulator suddenly and without warning he received a strong and continuous electrical shock from his head to his feet resulting in him passing out, losing control of his body, falling against a wall and hitting his head on the floor.
The defendant is accused of negligence, failing to maintain the safety of its patients while being treated at its facility and failing to properly supervise technicians authorized by them to provide treatment to its patients at its facility.
The plaintiff is seeking compensation for pain suffered, medical expenses, mental anguish and future losses.
