Scales of justice2

NEW ORLEANS - A roustabout is suing his employer for injuries he claims he received while exiting a shower.

Garrard M. Myers filed suit against Hercules Offshore Services on June 21 in federal court in New Orleans.

Myers claims he was injured while working as a roustabout and employed by Hercules Offshore Services. According to the lawsuit, Myers was exiting the shower when he slipped and fell on the floor, injuring himself. He injured his left ankle in the incident.

The plaintiff alleges that the floor was unreasonably dangerous and presented an unreasonable risk of injury.

The plaintiff is seeking an award of damages for pain, suffering and mental anguish, loss of income, maintenance and cure, interest, and court costs.

Myers is represented by Houma attorney Stephen J. Johnson.
