NEW ORLEANS – A property management company is suing itstenant for failing to make monthly payment on a Julia Street property.
JFK Property Management LLC filed suit against The Shop Art Gallery LLC and Hill Blackett.
The plaintiff claims that the defendant has failed to make monthly rental payments according to the three-year commercial lease for use of a Julia Street property. The lease agreement included a payment plan for yearly incremental increase in monthly rental fees starting at $6,500 on June 2013.
The defendants are accused breach of contract for withholding rental payments after July 2013. Hill Blackett is included in the lawsuit as he accepted personal liability for those payments, the suit claims.
An undisclosed amount in damages is sought for breach of contract including costs of the proceedings and attorney’s fees.
The plaintiff is represented by W. Patrick Klotz of New Orleans-based Klotz & Early.
The case has been assigned to Division G Judge Robin M. Giarrusso.
