GRETNA – A company that leased a plane mockup for a film production is being sued after it allegedly held the property for seven weeks beyond the lease term and not paying for the extra time.
Inovojet LLC filed suit against Left Behind Investments in the 24th Judicial District Court on Dec. 19.
Inovojet LLC claims it entered into a lease agreement with Left Behind Investments to provide a plane mockup for a film production for a period of six weeks. The plaintiff asserts the terms of the agreement were for a $10,000 per week charge if the defendant did not return the property after the expiration of the lease. Inovojet LLC alleges Left Behind Investments kept the plane mockup for seven weeks after the lease expired, but have not paid the overage for that extra time.
The defendant is accused of breach of contract.
Damages are sought in the amount of $70,000.
