Valerie Jones filed suit against EAN Holding LLC and Jeffrey C. Kleist in the 24th Judicial District Court on Jan. 2.

Jones alleges that on Jan. 31, 2013 she was the passenger aboard a Jefferson Parish Transit bus traveling on Airline Highway in Metairie when a vehicle driven by Kleist ran into the back of the bus. The plaintiff claims that during the accident Kleist was fulfilling his duties as an employee of EAN Holdings. Jones asserts she was injured in the accident.

An unspecified amount in damages is sought for pain and suffering, mental anguish and distress.

Jones is represented by attorney Kevin A. Rieth of New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division E Judge John J. Molaison Jr.
