Rotolo’s Pizzeria sued by woman who claims serve injury in trip over piece of plywood

GRETNA – A local pizzeria is being sued by a customer who claims she was injured in a trip and fall over a piece of wood.

Judy Wyatt filed suit against Rotolo’s River Ridge LLC and Maryland Casualty Company in the 24th Judicial District Court on March 13.

Wyatt claims she was a customer at the Rotolo’s Pizzeria located at 9327 Jefferson Highway in River Ridge when she tripped on a piece of plywood and fell to the floor. The plaintiff alleges she suffered severe and disabling injuries in the incident.

The defendant is accused of failing to use reasonable care to keep passageways and floors in a clean and safe condition, failing to use a reasonable care to keep the premises free of hazards, failing to properly inspect the premises, failing to establish proper procedures for inspection and creating a condition that caused the plaintiff’s injury.

An unspecified amount in damages is sought for pain and suffering, disability, medical expenses and impairment of earning capacity.

Wyatt is represented by attorney Brittany Rogers of Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Cornelius E. Regan.
