Homeowner sued by shoring company for alleged non-payment for home elevation

Shoring

GRETNA – A shoring company is suing a customer it claims did not pay for a home elevation.

Aldrette & Son’s Shoring Company Inc. filed suit against Maria Ugalde in the 24th Judicial District Court on March 21.

Aldrette & Son’s Shoring Company Inc. alleges it entered into a contract with Ugalde to raise her home located at 3604 Connecticut St. in Kenner. The plaintiff asserts the home elevation was successfully completed on Sept. 12, 2013 and that funds were provided by the Louisiana Hazard Mitigation Program. However, Aldrette & Son’s Shoring Company Inc. claims that Ugalde still owes them a final payment of $18,723.86.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract.

Damages in the amount of $18,723.86 are sought by the plaintiff.

Aldrette & Son’s Shoring Company Inc. is represented by David S. Fos of Kenner.

The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Michael P. Mentz.

Case no. 736-696.
