Student loan provider goes after allegedly delinquent debtor seeking more than $34K

GRETNA – A student loan financier is suing one of its debtors claiming a loan has not been repaid.

National Collegiate Student Loan Trust 2005-2 filed suit against Ruthann Mennen and Nellie Abrisz in the 24th Judicial District Court on March 24.

National Collegiate Student Loan Trust claims that Mennen owes $30,114.92 plus accrued interest of $4,545.06 and that it received a default judgment in its favor for the full amount plus 25 percent on Jan. 3. The plaintiff alleges Mennen, and Abrisz as a co-obligee, are liable for all costs.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract.

Damages are sought for full repayment.

National Collegiate Student Loan Trust is represented by attorney Gregory M. Eaton.

The case has been assigned to Division P Judge Lee V. Faulkner Jr.

Case no. 736-755.
