GRETNA – A local woman is suing after allegedly sustaining severe injuries when she stepped into an uncovered hole.

Diane Bailey filed suit against Hasko Affordable Homes, a Louisiana partnership in commendam and Consolidated Drainage District A for the Parish of Jefferson, Consolidated Drainage District No. 1 for the Parish of Jefferson and Consolidated Sewer Districts of Jefferson Parish in the 24th Judicial District Court on April 1.

Bailey asserts that on April 1, 2013 she was walking in a yard at 6900 Sayers Drive in Marrero when she stepped in a defective or uncovered drainage or water meter hole. The plaintiff alleges that she received painful and serious injuries in the incident.

An unspecified amount in damages is sought for pain and suffering, permanent personal damage, loss of enjoyment of life, medical expense and economic damages.

Bailey is represented by attorney Pierre F. Gaudin of Gretna.

The case has been assigned to Division O Judge Ross P. Ladart.
