Contractor sued for allegedly defaulting on temporary loans

Breach of contract

GRETNA – A contractor is being sued by a loan provider after he allegedly defaulted on two temporary loans.

Icon Properties LLC filed suit against Glenn Amedee in the 24th Judicial District Court on July 2.

Icon Properties LLC alleges Amedee requested and accepted two loans from them in March 2014 worth $15,000 with a 60-day repayment and $12,000 with a 30-day repayment for a piece of property in Bush. The plaintiffs contend they had made prior loans to the defendant who is a contractor who would request temporary loans between projects. However, Icon Properties LLC claims Amedee never made a payment on the loans.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract.

Damages in the amount of $27,000 are sought but the plaintiff.

Icon Properties LLC is represented by M. Elizabeth Bowman of Bowman & Howley.

The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Raymond S. Steib Jr.

Case no. 739-964.
