Woman allegedly falls through floor, sues property owner

NEW ORLEANS – A woman is suing a property owner and his insurer for alleged negligence which she claims resulted in her injury.

Gloria Lee filed suit against Hossein Talebloo and his insurer in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Aug. 7.

Lee claims that on July 27, 2013 she was a guest of Talebloo’s while helping a friend to pack for a move when she fell through the living room floor where she stood. Lee alleges that she suffered from left hip and back pain and has been under a doctor's care since the accident.

The plaintiff asserts that Talebloo was negligent and is responsible for the incident. Lee further alleges that she has sustained bodily injuries that has required medical attention.

The defendant is accused of gross negligence.

The plaintiff seeks an unknown amount in damages for medical expenses, bodily injury, physical pain and suffering, lost wages and loss of earning capacity.

Gloria Lee is represented by James P. Johnson of James P. Johnson and Associates LLC.

The case has been assigned to District F Judge Christopher J. Bruno.
