GRETNA – the owner of a ship is being sued by an employee who claims he was injured when his supervisor pulled a spray paint hose out of his hand causing paint and debris to shoot into his eye.
Michael Millet filed suit against Tom’s Welding Inc. in the 24th Judicial District Court on July 30.
Millet asserts that he was engaged in spray painting a vessel owned by Tom’s Welding Inc. when his supervisor, known as Master Hong, pulled the pressure hose from his hand causing paint and other debris to spray in his eye.
The defendant is accused of causing severe and permanent personal injuries.
An unspecified amount in damages is sought for lost wages, medical expenses, lost fringe benefits, pain and suffering, mental anguish, disability, disfigurement, inconvenience and embarrassment.
Millet is represented by attorney Pierre F. Gaudin of Gretna.
The case has been assigned to Division O Judge Ross P. LaDart.
