Office Depot sued over alleged injuries in slip and fall

GRETNA – A customer of a corporate office supply store is suing after she allegedly fell on a object and fell to the floor.

Faith Percle filed suit against Office Depot Inc. in the 24th Judicial District Court on Aug. 1.

Percle asserts she was shopping at the Office Depot located at 1500 W. Bank Expressway in Harvey when she slipped on a foreign object and fell to the floor. The plaintiff contends she received extensive personal injuries in the incident.

The defendant is accused of creating a dangerous condition, permitting a dangerous condition, not maintaining the floors, failing to properly inspect the floors, failing to warn of potential dangers and failing to properly train and monitor employees.

An unspecified amount in damages is sought for mental pain and suffering, physical pain and suffering, medical expenses, disability, loss of lifestyle, loss of wages and loss of earning potential.

Percle is represented by David D. Bravo of the New Orleans-based Bravo Law Firm.

The case has been assigned to Division L Judge Donald A. Rowan Jr.
