GRETNA – A man who was allegedly dumped out of a stretcher onto the pavement after transport by ambulance is suing over his injuries.
Henry Walker filed suit against Jefferson Parish Hospital Service District No. 2, Jeanette Euper and Brandon Marks in the 24th Judicial District Court on Jan. 14.
Walker claims that on July 26, 2014 he was being transported to East Jefferson Hospital and while being taken out of the ambulance he was dumped out of a stretcher and landed on the pavement. The plaintiff alleges Euper and Marks were the EMS crew in charge of his care at the time of the incident. Walker contends he was injured in the drop.
The defendant is accused of failing to properly inspect and maintain the ambulance, failing to properly repair the ambulance, failing to properly train the EMS crew, failing to properly supervise any repairs made to the ambulance and failing to ensure the ambulance was in proper working condition.
An unspecified amount in damages is sought for mental anguish, medical expenses and serious personal injuries.

The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Michael P. Mentz.
