GRETNA – A homeowner and her insurance company are suing a contractor who allegedly provided the faulty installation of an ice maker that flooded her home.

Allstate Insurance Company and Linda Lowe filed suit against Milton Roy LLC and G.S. Renovations LLC in the 24th Judicial District Court on Jan. 20.

Allstate Insurance Company and Lowe contend G.S. Renovations installed an ice machine in a newly built island in Lowe’s kitchen at her home located at 701 Moss Lane in River Ridge on Jan. 28, 2014. The plaintiff asserts that shortly after the Milton Roy ice machine was installed flooding occurred and damaged Lowe’s home.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

An unspecified amount is sought by the plaintiffs for all damages.

Allstate Insurance Company and Lowe are represented by Bonia Pruett Armour of the Alexandria-based Armour Law Firm.

The case has been assigned to Division P Judge Lee V. Faulkner Jr.

Case no. 745-952.
