Hilton Garden Inn sued by linen service for $40K over alleged breach of contract

GRETNA – Hilton Garden Inn is being sued by a linen service for $40,000 over an alleged breach of contract.

Loop Linen Service Inc. filed suit against Hilton Garden Inn of Pascagoula and Warren M. Davis in the 24th Judicial District Court on Jan. 22.

Loop Linen Service Inc. asserts that on March 20, 2014, it entered into a contract with Davis to provide linen rental to Hilton Garden Inn of Pascagoula over a five-year period. The plaintiff claims that after only five months, on Aug. 18, 2014, the defendant discontinued the linen service and refused to honor the contract.

Loop Linen Service Inc. alleges that due to the early cancellation of the contract, it is owed 80 percent of weekly invoice amount over the remaining 239 weeks of the contract–an amount worth $40,006.21

The defendant is accused of breach of contract.

Damages in the amount of $40,006.21 plus attorney’s fees and legal costs are sought by the plaintiff.

Loop Linen Service Inc. is represented by Michael S. Futrell of Metairie-based Connick and Connick LLC.

The case has been assigned to Division L Judge Donald A. Rowan Jr.
