BATON ROUGE – A U.S. postal worker is suing a Baton Rouge homeowner whose dog allegedly attacked her while delivering mail.
Tameika Thomas filed suit against Quy Nguyen, in the 19th Judicial District Court on March 31.
Thomas claims she was delivering mail to 12231 Mollylea Dr. in Baton Rouge when the defendant’s dog attacked and severely injured her.
The defendant is accused of failing to properly maintain her animal on the premises, failing to warn guest guests of known hazardous, failing maintain his dog on a leash behind a fence, and failing to take the correct precautions to divert putting guests in dangerous situations.
The plaintiff suffered numerous injuries from dog bites and open wounds; however, an unspecified amount in damages is sought for medical expenses and loss of wages.
Attorney R. Kenneth Reed of New Orleans represents the plaintiff.
The case has been assigned to Division E Judge William A. Morvant.
