GRETNA – A local car dealer is being sued by a customer who claims the pre-owned vehicle she bought is defective.
Monica Seeble filed suit against Audi of America Inc. and Audi New Orleans in the 24th Judicial District Court on April 29.
Seeble alleges that on June 16, 2012 she purchased a pre-owned 2010 Audi A4 from Audi New Orleans located at 3400 N. Causeway Blvd. in Metairie. The plaintiff contends the vehicle has suffered several defects since shortly after it was purchased including problems with sensor lights, the transmission, stalling, acceleration problems and a faulty air conditioner. Seeble asserts that despite having a warranty in place when she purchased it, the defendants have failed to fully repair the defects or offer her a refund.
The defendant is accused of breach of contract, breach of warranty and violation of state law.
An unspecified amount in damages is sought for return of the full purchase price of the vehicle, finance charges, interest, litigation costs and attorney’s fees.
Seeble is represented by Alejandro J. Rodriguez of New Orleans-based Varadi, Hair & Checki LLC.
The case has been assigned to Division G Judge E. Adrian Adams.
Case no. 749-220.
