Couple sues neighbors over fences, pipes allegedly wrongfully erected on property

Gavel

GRETNA – A pair of property owners are suing their neighbors claiming they encroached on their property by installing fencing and pipes on their land.

Nathaniel L. Cooper Sr. and Adrionne Ford Cooper filed suit against Ava Williams Nelson, Jewel Neal Pittman and Kimberlin Diane Pittman in the 24th Judicial District Court on May 26.

The plaintiffs allege they own property located adjacent to properties owned by the defendants. The Coopers contend the defendants have violated their property line and installed fencing and pipes on their property. The plaintiffs assert that despite their requests to have the structures removed the defendants have failed to do so.

The defendants are accused of encroachment.

An unspecified amount in damages is sought for mental anguish and attorney’s fees.

Cooper is represented by attorney Eric A. Wright of New Orleans-based McMillan & Wright LLC.

The case has been assigned to Division G Judge E. Adrian Adams.

Case no. 750-050.
