Personal injury attorney sued for $257K over medical services for clients

GRETNA – A medical service provider is suing a personal injury attorney for unpaid fees for medical diagnostics and treatments it allegedly provided his clients.

Diagnostic Management Affiliates PPO LLC filed suit against James Hatch in the 24th Judicial District Court on May 29.

The plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 17, 2006 Hatch, a Louisiana licensed attorney, entered into an agreement to arrange medical services for his personal injury clients. Diagnostic Management Affiliates PPO contends that as of Feb. 28, Hatch owes $257,275.87 for past services. 

The defendant is accused of breach of contract.

An unspecified amount in damages is sought for $257,275.87, plus interest and attorney’s fees.

The plaintiff is represented by Bradley J. Chauvin of New Orleans-based Couch, Conville & Blitt LLC.

The case has been assigned to Division J Judge Stephen C. Grefer.
