GRETNA – The officers of a concrete company are suing a fellow officer they claim misappropriated funds from their business.

Robert Demil and Pamela Litz filed suit against Placid Corral in the 24th Judicial District Court on June 17.

Demil and Litz contend they are officer of Plus Concrete Inc. who offer services in the construction of highways, street, bridges as well as other concrete projects. The plaintiffs assert that in December 2014 they learned Corral, who is also an officer of Plus Concrete Inc., had allegedly been diverting company assets for personal use. Demil and Litz claim that from April though June 2014 Corral used Plus Concrete Inc. assets for his own personal use and benefit, profited from their labor, used payroll funds to finance outside work and misappropriated funds.

The defendant is accused of breach of fiduciary duty, conversion, unfair trade practices and unjust enrichment.

An unspecified amount in damages is sought by the plaintiffs.

Demil and Litz are represented by Duris J. Holmes of New Orleans-based Deutsch, Kerrigan & Stiles LLP.

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Henry G. Sullivan Jr.
