Copeland’s sued after woman injured in trip and falls over loose flooring tiles

GRETNA – A local restaurant is being sued by a woman who claims she was injured after tripping and falling over loose tiles on the premises.

Annette Warren-Barrow filed suit against Al Copeland Investments LLC and Evanston Insurance Company in the 24th Judicial District Court on July 1.

Warren-Barrow asserts she was a patron of the Copeland’s Restaurant located on Lapalco Boulevard in Harvey when she tripped over loose floor tiles and fell to the floor. 

The defendant is accused of negligence.

An unspecified amount in damages is sought for debilitating physical injuries and emotional damages.

Warren-Barrow is represented by Michael J. Bourquard of the New Orleans-based Law Offices of Michael J. Bourquard LLC.

The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Michael P. Mentz.

Case no. 751-165.
