NEW ORLEANS – A Jefferson Parish man says an accident involving the Dodge van he was driving and a freight truck left him with lost wages and costly medical bills.

Fouad Cherkaoui filed a lawsuit Jan. 4 in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against J.A. Benoit Pinel, Artisan Freight LLC, Inland Lease & Rental LLC and Prime Property & Casualty Insurance Inc., alleging negligence.

Cherkaoui claims he suffered severe and disabling injuries from the crash, including $6,335 in medical bills to date, with treatment ongoing.
