GRETNA – A woman is suing Hobby Lobby following an incident in which she was allegedly injured when a metal basket fell and hit her on the head.

Joan Abadie filed suit against Hobby Lobby Stores Inc., Amigo Mobility International Inc., Invacare and/or Dynamic Medical Systems LLC in the 24th Judicial District Court on April 11.

According to the claim, Abadie was in the Hobby Lobby at 5151 Citrus Blvd. in Harahan on May 6, 2015, when the incident occurred. Abadie was helping an elderly woman out of a wheelchair when the metal basket on the wheelchair allegedly fell, striking Abadie on the head and injuring her head, shoulders and neck.
