Nelson Equipment Co. Inc. alleges it is owed for construction work

Contract 08

NEW ORLEANS – A Shreveport business alleges a Tennessee company owes it for the construction of two steel mezzanines.

Nelson Equipment Co. Inc. filed a complaint on May 2 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against Quality Iron Fabricators Inc., citing breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it has suffered damages for not receiving the defendant's payment for work completed in February and March 2015. The plaintiff holds Quality Iron Fabricators Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly wrongfully refused to pay for the amounts due and owed for the work the plaintiff performed, contended that the work was deficient and prevented the plaintiff from completing any such changes or alterations.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensation for all damages, attorneys’ fees, costs and expenses and for all other legal and equitable relief as the case may permit. It is represented by Robert B. McNeal, Matthew D. Simone and Court C. VanTassell of Liskow & Lewis in New Orleans.
