Wolf Petroleum Services employee alleges he is owed unpaid wages

Law money 13

ALEXANDRIA – A rig operator working for a Minden company in North Dakota alleges he is owed unpaid wages and has filed a class-action suit.

Michael Moss filed a complaint on behalf of all others similarly situated on Oct. 13 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana against Wolf Petroleum Services LLC alleging that the employer violated the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in 2016, he regularly worked for more than 40 hours per week but was deprived of significant amount of regular and overtime compensation. The plaintiff holds Wolf Petroleum Services LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to properly compensate him at a rate of time-and-one-half his regular rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 hours per week and paid him instead a flat-rate or salary every two weeks.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensation for all unpaid wages, liquidated damages, attorneys’ fees, costs and expenses and such other relief as may be allowed by law. He is represented by Barrett Beasley of Salim-Beasley LLC in Natchitoches and Robert W. Cowan of Bailey Peavy Bailey Cowan Heckaman in Houston, Texas.
