Kaufman County Builders alleges it wasn't paid for Cowboy Chicken Restaurant work

Late 07

BATON ROUGE – A contractor claims it is owed $90,000 for construction work on the Cowboy Chicken Restaurant.

Kaufman County Builders Inc., doing business as Building Concepts, filed a complaint on Dec. 14 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana against V2V Management Group LLC, Mark Verinder and Chris Vince alleging outstanding payment.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff performed construction work for the defendants for the Cowboy Chicken Restaurant in Baton Rouge and that it completed the work as specified and in a proper and workmanlike manner.  The plaintiff holds V2V Management Group LLC, Verinder and Vince responsible because the defendants allegedly failed and refused to make payment for the remaining amount due under the contract, which totals $90,000.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks declaration that defendants are solidarily liable for the $90,000 outstanding balance, together with interest, cost and attorney's fees and all other equitable relief. It is represented by Bryan D. Scofield and James T. Rivera of Scofield & Rivera LLC in Lafayette.
