Former CoSolutions employee alleges he was terminated in retaliation

NEW ORLEANS – A man claims he was terminated from his New Orleans office for reporting alleged wrongful conduct.

Philip R. Adams filed a complaint on Feb. 13 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against CoSolutions Inc. alleging violation of the Defense Contractor Whistleblower Protection Act and the False Claims Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Dec. 7, 2015, he was terminated from his employment and has suffered damages in the form of lost wages and benefits, emotional distress, mental anguish, loss of reputation, embarrassment and humiliation. The plaintiff holds CoSolutions Inc. responsible because the defendants allegedly retaliated against him by diminishing his duties, harassing him and ultimately terminating him because he disclosed defendant's alleged gross mismanagement of a Department of Defense contract and purported gross waste of Department of Defense funds.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks award for all earnings he did not receive, double back pay, compensatory damages, costs, expert witness fees, attorney’s fees and such just and proper relief. He is represented by Victor R. Farrugia of Farrugia Law Firm LLC in New Orleans.
