NEW ORLEANS – Three Louisiana businesses claim they were not paid for services provided to another company and its vessel.

Bayou Black Electric Supply LLC, Spartan Industrial Products, Morgan City Rentals and Delta Rigging & Tools Inc. filed a complaint on March 14 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against D/B Willima Kallop and Offshore Specialty Fabricators LLC alleging failure to pay.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they provided services and equipment essential to and necessary for the operation of defendant vessel. As of the date of this filing, plaintiffs allege that they were not fully paid. The plaintiffs holds D/B William Kallop and Offshore Specialty Fabricators LLC responsible because despite amicable demands, defendants allegedly failed and refused to make payments for the amounts owed to each plaintiff.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against defendants in the total amount of $116,374.12, plus interest, costs, seizure expenses, attorneys’ fees and such other and further relief which the court may deem just and proper. They are represented by Jedd S. Malish and David L. Carrigee of Baldwin Haspel Burke & Mayer LLC in New Orleans.
