Offshore Specialty Fabricators alleges to have failed to pay for supplies for vessels

Late 04

NEW ORLEANS – A limited liability company is alleged to have not paid for supplies provided to its vessels.

Alliance Special Ventures Funds LLC filed a complaint on March 15 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against D/B William Kallop, D/B Swing Thompson and Offshore Specialty Fabricators LLC alleging failure to pay.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that Rouse's Enterprises supplied defendant Offshore, as owner and operator of the defendant vessels, with supplies and victuals in support of the operation of the vessels. As an assignee to the rights of Rouse, plaintiff is legally entitled to collect the said amount or seize said vessels, the suit states. The plaintiff holds D/B William Kallop, D/B Swing Thompson and Offshore Specialty Fabricators LLC responsible because despite numerous amicable notice and demands, defendants allegedly failed to settle the debt.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against defendants, together with prejudgment interest, expenses, attorney’s fees and costs, seizure expenses and such other and further relief which it may deem just and proper. It is represented by Timothy D. Scandurro, Jean-Paul Layrisson, Stephen O. Scandurro and Krista M. Eleew of Scandurro & Layrisson LLC in New Orleans.
