Man alleges he was injured in collision as passenger in transport van

Car accident 32

SHREVEPORT – A railroad worker claims he was injured in a collision in Shreveport.

John Poston filed a complaint on April 3 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana, Shreveport Division against Ace Insurance Co., Safeway Insurance Co., The Kansas City Southern Railway Co., Professional Transportation Inc., Quinton White and Breon Savannah

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Feb. 28, he was a passenger in a Professional Transportation Inc. van being driven by White when White negligently drove out the van into traffic and crashed into a vehicle driven by Savannah. The suit states the collision occurred in Shreveport and that the plaintiff suffered injuries to his back and body.

The plaintiff holds Ace Insurance Co., Safeway Insurance Co., The Kansas City Southern Railway Co., Professional Transportation Inc., White and Savannah responsible because defendants White and Savannah allegedly failed to keep and maintain a proper lookout, failed to operate their vehicles at a safe and reasonable speed and failed to give a reasonable warning.

The plaintiff seeks damages in excess of $75,000, plus interest and costs, and such other just and equitable relief. He is represented by Bristol Baxley of Rome, Arata & Baxley LLC in Pearland, Texas.
