NEW ORLEANS – A Harvey man claims that he is entitled to a recession of a mortgage contract.

Michael Alexander filed a complaint on April 24 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against Bank of America NA alleging that the lender violated the Louisiana Deceptive Trade Practices Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that his original mortgage documents are fraudulent and that the chain of title to the property is corrupted. He alleges the bank did not sign the loan contract and that he did not receive a signed invoice of debt. The plaintiff holds Bank of America NA responsible because the defendant allegedly denied plaintiff's right to rescind the transaction.

The plaintiff seeks damages in the sum of $2 million and all other relief that may be just and proper. He is representing himself.
