NEW ORLEANS – A St. Tammany Parish man alleges that he was injured in a collision in Slidell with a tractor-trailer on Interstate 10.

John Kite filed a complaint on April 27 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against Sentry Select Insurance Co., JPK Trucking LLC and Gjorgji Coleski alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 3, 2016, plaintiff was driving a 2005 Jaguar when defendant Coleski, who was operating an 18-wheeler truck owned by defendant JPK Trucking, suddenly changed lanes and caused a collision.

The plaintiff holds Sentry Select Insurance Co., JPK Trucking LLC and Gjorgji Coleski responsible because defendant Coleski allegedly failed to maintain a proper look-out, failed to yield right of way and failed to observe due caution.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against defendants, jointly, severally, solidarily and vicariously for such sums as are reasonable in the premises, plus interest and all costs of these proceedings. He is represented by Michael Hingle and Michael Hingle III of Michael Hingle & Associates LLC in Slidell.
