NEW ORLEANS – Two individuals formerly employed as area vice presidents allege that they were not provided compensation as outlined in their contract upon their termination.

James Agee of Arizona and Shea Harrelson of South Carolina filed a complaint on May 6 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against UTC Laboratories LLC alleging that the employer violated the Louisiana Wage Payment Act and breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on April 3, 2015, they were terminated from their employment with the defendant without cause. The plaintiffs holds UTC Laboratories LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay earned base salary, bonuses, commissions, fringe benefits and severance compensation as provided in the agreement at the end of their employment.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment in plaintiffs' favor for damages resulting from defendant's breach, attorneys’ fees, costs and interest and all other relief justified in the premises. They are represented by Adam G. Young of Young, Cotter & Meade in Lafayette and John Alden Meade of Young, Cotter & Meade in New Orleans.
