NEW ORLEANS — A Texas woman is suing David J. Jeansonne, Traffic Jam Events LLC, Platinum Plus Printing LLC and DTJ Properties LLC, alleging they breached a severance pay agreement.

Kymberly Procaccino filed a complaint on May 5 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against the defendants alleging that they failed to perform their contractual obligations.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that, in 2017, defendants bound themselves to pay plaintiff an amount of $120,000 in exchange for a release of any and all claims she may have from her termination. Procaccino was romantically involved with Jeansonne, court documents state, and after the couple split up, Jeansonne moved to terminate Procaccino from her employment. To date, the plaintiff claims she has received only $10,000. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly refused to remit her remaining severance pay of $110,000.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants, jointly and in solido, for their unpaid obligation of $110,000, plus interest, attorneys' fees and costs and all other just and equitable relief. She is represented by Kyle D. Schonekas, Jacob K. Weixler and Thomas McEachin of Schonekas, Evans, McGoey & McEachin LLC in New Orleans.
