S&R Development Inc. alleged to have failed to complete hotel project on time

Contract 10

NEW ORLEANS – A Mississippi contractor is accused of failing to complete the construction of a hotel in accordance with contract specifications.

Arvind "Mike" Vira and Airport Motel LLC filed a complaint on June 16 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against S&R Development Inc. alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on July 2015, they entered into a construction contract with defendant to build a Holiday Inn Hotel on their property for a price not to exceed $9,550,100. The plaintiffs allege that much of the construction was completed incorrectly.

The plaintiffs hold S&R Development Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to complete the project on time as promised and abandoned the project.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against defendant in an amount consistent with the evidence, with legal interest and all costs of these proceedings. They are represented by Matthew P. Chenevert of Matthew P. Chenevert Attorney at Law in Metairie.
