Island of Algiers Tours guide alleges defamatory statements have injured reputation

NEW ORLEANS – A tour guide alleges that his reputation has been harmed by the publication of defamatory statements.

Nathan Haynes Scott filed a complaint on June 30 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against the Roman Catholic Church of the Archdiocese of New Orleans, Jared Munster, Karen M. Thibodeaux, Wesley Pfeiffer, et al alleging that they violated the 14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is a licensed tour guide working for Island of Algiers Tours. He alleges that the defendants have maliciously communicated and published defamatory statements about him to each other and to third parties.

The plaintiff holds Roman Catholic Church of the Archdiocese of New Orleans, Jared Munster, Karen M. Thibodeaux, Wesley Pfeiffer, et al responsible because plaintiff alleges he suffered mental and physical pain emotional distress, financial losses, embarrassment and humiliation.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory and punitive damages, plus interest, attorney's fees, costs and all further legal and equitable relied. He is representing himself.
