Taylor, Porter, Brooks & Phillips LLP issued the following announcement on Oct. 17.

Taylor Porter is a proud recipient of a 2018 “Douglas Manship, Sr. Torch Award for Ethics in Business,” a prestigious honor bestowed by the Better Business Bureau of South Central Louisiana. Honorees will be recognized at the BBB’s 18th Annual Torch Awards Banquet on October 23, 2018, at L’Auberge in Baton Rouge, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The evening’s program will feature the former head coach of the Southern University Jaguars’ baseball team, Roger Cador, as guest speaker, and Clarence Buggs as emcee for the evening.

Established in 2001 in memory of Douglas Manship, Sr., this award recognizes businesses that are committed to the highest standards of leadership, character, ethics, and trust among employees, customers and communities. The BBB of South Central La. serves 12 parishes including Ascension, Assumption, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Iberville, Livingston, Pointe Coupee, St. Helena, St. James, Tangipahoa, West Baton Rouge and West Feliciana Parishes.

Representing four categories based on business size, the 2018 Torch Award winners are:
