Taylor Porter Partner and Healthcare Practice Leader Patrick Seiter was ranked in the nation's top tier, Band 1, in healthcare law by clients and the Chambers USA 2019 rankings. Lawyers are ranked as "Leaders in Their Field" and in bands from 1-6, with 1 being the top score. The qualities on which rankings are assessed include technical legal ability, professional conduct, client service, commercial astuteness, diligence, commitment, and other qualities most valued by the client.

The Chambers USA 2019 Directory included about Seiter: "Described as "an A-list lawyer," Patrick Seiter is considered by market observers to have "a deep appreciation and understanding of university hospital systems." He deftly handles transactional work as well as compliance with state and federal regulations."

Chambers has surveyed clients and other law firms to rank attorneys globally since 1990. The annual guide of the best law firms and lawyers in business is published by London-based research and ranking organization, Chambers and Partners. Chambers evaluates and ranks attorneys and firms nationally and by state through extensive independent research that includes interviews with firm clients and peer attorneys. Researchers assess technical legal ability, professional conduct, client service, commercial astuteness, diligence, commitment and other qualities most valued by the client.

Seiter is the Taylor Porter Healthcare Team Leader. Practicing law since 1985, he represents and advises healthcare clients in a wide range of business, transactional and regulatory matters, including business organizations and contracts, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, managed care and provider network contracts, fraud and abuse, Stark, health information technology, HIPAA, EMTALA, medical staff, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, federal and state regulatory compliance, and alternative delivery and payment systems. He also has extensive experience and a particular interest in the unique relationships and challenges of academic medicine. Seiter is a frequent author and lecturer on legal issues in healthcare.
